The NIRALI A. M. Naik Charitable Health Care Facility, a division of Larsen & Toubro, is a partner with the Center for Special Children and has given us a room to conduct various corrective and treatment for children. Consultation, referral to other specialised OPD, physiotherapy, reading aids, hearing aids, surgical assistance will be provided at a reasonable cost depending on the capacity of the family.

Ferro Equip Foundation was established in 2004 as a special organisation to promote happiness, smiles, and thrills to people with special talents and poor children, improving their lives. In 2014, it was registered as an NGO. The difficult task of preparing for and comprehending their unique requirements has been taken on with commitment and passion.

  • Any child or young adult below the age of 18
  • Having difficulty in seeing, hearing, speaking and walking
  • Children with mental retardation, neurological disorders, autism, learning difficulties will be assessed and referred to specialised centres who cater to these children

Visit Room no. 3, Ground floor Nirali | AM Naik Charitable Healthcare Facility at Saki Vihar Road, Powai on Monday and Thursday and our staff will guide the family. There are no entry charges to be paid by the patient and will be managed by Sneh Deep Trust.

Patient is examined by a doctor and old treatment records are analysed. If the diagnosis and treatment has been interrupted, they are referred to appropriate department at Nirali | AM Naik Charitable Healthcare Facility or specialised centres. Our staff coordinates with the various doctors to help the family get easy access and treatment.

Our Other Work

Sneh Deep Trust (Regn. No. TR/34087/3.6.1999) was established in 1999. The Trust aims to provide financial assistance to patients suffering from major illness requiring expensive treatment or illness requiring prolonged treatment, disabled & socio-economically backward students for primary or higher education. The trust has so far given financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 6 Lakhs so far. It has provided financial aid for dialysis for patients of Chronic renal failure, undertaken cataract surgeries, donated calipers to paraplegics, donated spectacles at health camps, provided medical assistance to children of Gharkul Trust for mentally retarded children, undertaken skin camps in special schools and provided financial help for AIDS patients. Accounts are annually audited and records are maintained. After covid, there has been a slack in the activities. Donations to Sneh Deep Trust is are eligible for tax exemption u/s 80-G of I.T.Act.

Project Objective

  • To rehabilitate the disabled child to become independent so that parents are relieved to do their chores.
  • To upgrade the level of education and provide details of government resources available to help the child achieve a qualification for gainful employment.
  • To elevate the level of the intelligent-disabled to develop a career or become an entrepreneur.
  • To elevate the low intelligent disabled to develop physical skills.
  • To provide guidance for seeking medical treatment or surgical treatment at appropriate centre and facilitate the process.
  • To periodically review each child after they reach a certain stage to see if they can further achieve their new-found potential.
  • To evolve a Ready Reckoner Chart for Rehabilitations Professionals matching educational and job skills with different types of disabilities for easy placement in the industry. For example
    • a young man with low vision can work as a lift attendant.
    • a low IQ person with no physical disability can work as a petrol pump attendant and so on. A comprehensive chart of this kind would be a great resource for general practitioners as well to guide people in mofussil areas to seek employment.

Impact

Create awareness among the underprivileged in general schools as well as institutions for disabled children about the guidance centre. This would elevate the health and educational levels of the disabled child with annual review and guidance. Such children would be able to utilize their abilities better and end up with a greater chance of employment or becoming an entrepreneur.

Donations to the trust are exempted from Income Tax u/s Sec 80-G of I.T.Act.
